What Is All The Fuss About Human Growth Hormone

What Is All The Fuss About Human Growth Hormone

For many years now, controversies surrounding the derived benefits of Human Growth Hormone have only worked to contradict the uses of this hormone. Scientists and medical practitioners have continuously criticized the acclaimed benefits of HGH. GH does confer loads of benefits to the user in its natural form, but the synthetic HGH is still largely unknown. So what is the fuss about this HGH?

What is HGH?

Natural GH is produced by the body, as a peptide hormone. It triggers cellular growth, regeneration and reproduction. The somatotropic cells in the lateral region of the anterior pituitary gland synthesize, store and secrete the hormone.

Biological Benefits of Human Growth Hormone

  • Facilitates the retention of calcium, and strengthens and increases bone mineralization
  • Sarcomas hypertrophy effects increases muscle mass
  • Promotes lipolysis hence reducing body fat
  • Increases protein synthesis
  • Plays a critical role in fuel homeostasis
  • It opposes the effects of insulin by lowering liver uptake of glucose
  • Stimulates the immune system
  • Repairs damaged cells through cellular regeneration

Synthetic HGH

Human growth hormone

Synthetic Human Growth Hormone is the efficacious component in some prescription drugs. Today, synthetic HGH is produced by recombinant DNA. Synthetic Human Growth Hormone is biologically identical to the natural HGH.

HGH produced by the body goes by the name somatotropin. Synthetic HGH is injections made by pharmaceuticals. They go by the generic name of somatropin.

In the US and many countries around the world, the use of synthetic HGH without a prescription is illegal. Only under very strict circumstances are doctors allowed to prescribe HGH. Legally, synthetic HGH treats HGH deficiency in children resulting from syndromes such as Prader-Willi and Turner syndrome. In adults, FDA approves the use of this drug in treating patients with human growth hormone deficiency and complications such as short bowel syndrome and HIV/AIDs related muscle wasting. FDA does not approve the most common uses of HGH.

If a qualified doctor has not recommended HGH due to health complications named above, then that is drug abuse. Even so, if you are getting HGH, illicitly (from an underground lab or online clinic and websites, you may not be aware of what you are getting.

Scam

You will find sites claiming to sell a doctor-endorsed HGH product. Most of these sites sell synthetic HGH in the form of a spray, creams, and pills. Research indicates that HGH is only effective when taken through injections. Orally, the stomach breaks down HGH before it absorbs it a minuscule amount. However, injections are only given by a doctor’s prescription. In a nutshell, HGH creams, sprays, and pills may be a waste of money.  These oral and nasal sprays, creams and pills claim to offer the same benefits as injections. On most occasions they are worthless, but even if they did contain HGH, it would be biologically unavailable.

The Internet Fuss

To many, HGH is the miraculous savior reversing their biological clock. Many celebrities have endorsed synthetic HGH to preserve their youthful looks and increase vitality. Athletes take it to enhance performance and encourage repair after injury. Men with low testosterone and women having menopausal complications also take it. Why? HGH is the primary hormone in the body associated with many body functions. Normalizing HGH usually results in normalizing other hormones.

As a result, synthetic HGH is the slamming jam, quick-fixing age-related problems. The craze in the supplement industry is wild, with manufacturer having their versions of HGH. Today, the internet has many retail shops and sites having colorful ads advertising this miracle. These ads make outlandish claims concerning the health benefits of using their HGH. What they forget to mention are the potential side effects the user should expect. These self-entitled experts argue that HGH can reverse your biological clock and make father-time your friend by giving you back your youthful looks, restoring a receding hairline, help you slash fat and build muscle fast, increase libido and sexual vitality, regulate blood pressure and glucose, and promote the overall well-being of the body.

The fountain of promised youth derived from synthetic SGH has proved illusory creating a big fuss in the industry. Human Growth Hormones does not appear to have any useful effects on the biology of a human body in its synthetic form, but that has not been enough to stop people. In general, all those accolades of somatropin are unsubstantiated and unfounded.

Counterfeit HGH

HGH products have increasingly become popular on the market. HGH is an expensive drug to produce. Even so, the profits garnered from the sale are amazingly high. As such, these high costs and the promising sales have triggered the rise of counterfeit HGH sold on online clinics and website. For a consumer, it is hard to differentiate a fake HGH and the real thing. Today, artificial HGH is on an alarming rise. Companies are manufacturing their unique version of Somatropin. They even provide information such as a product serial number, manufacturer guarantee, and clinical studies to blind you. Shady companies are copying the real pharmaceutical HGH and sell these fake drugs to people.

Counterfeit drugs may pose more health dangers for you than the real HGH. That is because most of these counterfeits are not made in FDA-approved and cGMP-certified facilities. Also, the companies producing them may not even comply with the US Pharmacopeia stringent rules. A drug produced under such circumstances has no assurance of safety and quality. FDA, GMP, and USP regulate and oversee manufacturing companies.  They ensure that manufacturers provide products that are safe for human consumption. Even though these agencies do not assure on potency or effectiveness for that matter, they do guarantee the quality and safety.

Side Effects of Using Synthetic HGH

Human growth Hormone

  • Tissue Edema results when the body retains tissue fluid and becomes swollen.
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome- When skeletal muscles increase in size, muscle weakness and the occasional feeling of pins and needles occur. This phenomenon is called carpal tunnel syndrome. Sometimes the patient may feel skin numbness and tingle.
  • Internal body organs may enlarge. Cardiomegaly is a fatal condition usually associated with HGH abuse.
  • Acromegaly- The abnormal growth and development of bones in the extremities, jaw, and forehead. Acromegaly predisposes you to heart diseases and death.
  • Individuals taking doses of more than four IU may experience feelings of fuller faces and swollen fingers.
  • Another adverse side effect of increased protein synthesis due to HGH abuse is changing in the skin composition and structure such as thickening and coarsening, a condition known as elephant epidermis.
  • Gynecomastia is a condition in which a man’s breasts become enlarged due to the abuse of HGH.

Risks Associated with Synthetic Human Growth Hormone

A combination of some of these side effects, particularly cardiomegaly, hyperlipidemia, and hyperglycemia result to a shortened lifespan in people taking Somatropin injections.

Industrial HGH can also increase your risk of getting diabetes. In recent studies, this HGH has been shown to contribute to increased growth of cancerous cells.  Research also links Hormone Replacement Therapy with some synthetic hormones with increased risk of cancer.

Taking Somatropin injections can adversely affect the ability of the pituitary gland to secrete the natural HGH. Sometimes a wrong dosage can inhibit the production of the real human growth hormone in the pituitary gland. That occurs because injecting oneself with synthetic HGH provides the body with the needed amounts of HGH. In the long run, the pituitary glands adapt to not producing its own version of HGH. As such, withdrawing suddenly from the use of synthetic HGH can cause the user to experience “rebound effects” in which he or she loses the conferred benefits and may lose more.

Due to FDA banning the use of synthetic GH, few studies have been conducted to test the effectiveness of the product. Even in these studies, scientists have argued that the population size used was too small to have meaningful and acceptable results.
